Exhibition Design
2018
Portals is a photographic catalog of entrances and exits to New York City’s underground subway stations and their immediate surroundings. Visitors entered the exhibition through a mock subway entrance and were then guided into the underground world through 256 evocative photographs, ridership and usage metrics, and an extensive abstract system map. Robert Prochaska’s Portals was exhibited at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
