The Autopsy of the Purple Layer Eater was included in the ‘Incoherence Era’ zine by Colter Wehmeier and submitted to SciArc’s ‘Underscore’ journal.

“Layers, ooo how I love the wonder of the layers, like an onion I suppose, but not so ogreish.  How you can embed - always embedding - ideas deeper, deeper, and deepest.  The ideas in this sense, in this ever increasingly deep structure can only be yours. When you have the power of layering the layers ever more layers deep then the ideas will never be truly understood by the outsiders.  They cannot take away your power and they cannot understand the true form of the work. When the form of the work may seem confused and contrived on a “superficial” reading it is through this very careful and particular dissection through those frustrating layers that the true body might be found.  Once I am able to reach this true body, when the idea is certainly found embedded at least numerous layers deep is when the art is made, the licks are counted.  The art can only exist at least 3 layers deep inside the meme. This is the manifesto that we speak of the manifesto that the work can only be produced in a single mind, perhaps a hive mind but a single mind, only those that are tuned into the joke are able to see through the layers, their meaning, and get the joke.  Now I will let you in on a little secret, I will tell you the truth behind the layers, the layers are all a shroud.  Once they are peeled back all that remains is the infantile gesture of the meme.  A cannibalizing little purple demon just eking to be set loose.  But this little demon has been on the receiving end of our experiments.  We do not have to worry about him and his nefarious mischiefs anymore he didn’t just cannibalize, he self-cannibalized. “
